Somerville is a dense, close-knit community with a rich and vibrant local culture.  It also happens to be my home.  Through this project, I explore the essence of Somerville through images of its residents and local business owners.

Come see Somerville through the lens at Bloc 11 Cafe in Union Square starting on May 20, 2013.  The series will be on display until mid June.

The space will be shared with another artist, Brendan Fay.  Brendan is a good friend and an excellent artist.  He has produced a wide array of photographs and films over the years, including most recently a feature length film titled Weekend in Summer , which debuted last August and was shown at the Pawtucket Film Festival in Rhode Island this past fall.  For this show, Brendan will be displaying a selection of images from a series he captured in and around Inman Square, Somerville, during the February nor-easter, also known as Winter Storm Nemo or the Blizzard of 2013.
